Monet’s Garden
DIGITAL INSTALLATIONSINTRODUCTION
‘My garden is my most beautiful masterpiece’ wrote Monet. A video installation where we can live that dream.
Monet’s Garden
In the picturesque town of Giverny lies Monet’s garden, an enchanting place that the artist designed and nurtured with great care. Every element was arranged with a specific purpose: to inspire him, allowing him to capture on canvas the interplay of light and the vibrant colors of nature. Monet envisioned it as a serene retreat, far from the world, where he could paint in peace. Light and shadow, reflections on the water, the gentle movement of the wind through the leaves, and the sun’s rays filtering through the branches create perfect harmony. Tranquility, contemplation, and emotion blend into a dreamlike atmosphere. “My garden is my most beautiful masterpiece,” Monet once wrote.
Today, in this room, we can step into that dream. Alongside the artist’s most iconic works, you will find exclusive recordings of Monet’s garden in Giverny. Every shot and composition is inspired by his paintings, particularly his monumental Water Lilies series. The subjects are those closest to his heart: the flowers, the lily pond, the Japanese bridge, and his home. Even the soundtrack is a tribute to Giverny, featuring the authentic natural sounds that surrounded Monet as he painted. The result is a small, multimedia Orangerie—an immersive experience that transports us into the heart of his garden, allowing us to step inside his greatest masterpiece.
